We need a network of partners from the private, public, voluntary and community sectors, all dedicated to ensuring that this anniversary is celebrated throughout the year. We must seek "to ensure that the suffering of our ancestors, many of whom lived and died in bondage under one of the most inhuman atrocities in world history, is never forgotten, lest it should happen again."
